Set in the Maniototo, the infamous ‘Plain Of Blood’, Craigneuk is near Ranfurly, Otago.

The Craigneuk shoot is well established, now in its eighth year.

The family run shoot with a very high standard of keepering, combining the high and challenging birds that have become synonymous with Craigneuk Pheasants with walk-up jump shooting.

Our shoot specialises in providing great shooting and hospitality with high quality birds in spectacular countryside. The shoot consists of a wonderful blend of natural covers, steep sided valleys and step marshy gulleys.

The Craigneuk shoot is spread over about 850 acres, which provides us with three main walk-ups of varying difficulty, so we can tailor days to suit the requirements of any team of guns who need a challenge.

Our team of regular beaters ensures there is a steady flow of pheasants for six guns to shoot bags of 60 birds. Whilst we have a small and reliable team of beaters and picker-uppers with excellent dogs of all breeds, guns are always welcome to bring their own dogs.
